Waikowhai Development

Located in the Roskill Development, the Waikōwhai neighbourhood will see the delivery of new, warm, dry, healthier homes for the community. Across the whole Roskill Development, 10,000 new terraced and apartment houses will be delivered and will include a mix of state, market and more affordable homes.

Piritahi’s job is to prepare the land in Waikōwhai to build and live on, enabling more homes to be built faster. We’re designing and constructing new and upgraded infrastructure, parks and public spaces to create a safer, greener and more connected neighbourhood.

Waikōwhai

Projects Underway

39 houses in Stage 1 have now been removed, with just one left to go. This last house is currently being purposed as our site office until the completion of Stage 1. Once removed this will then make 40 houses removed in Stage 1 to make way for new warm, dry homes to be built from later 2022 to early 2023.
Land Remediation is also nearing completion with the final sites being prepared for the new houses to begin being built. All land remediation is expected to be completed by July 2022.
Utility upgrades, including undergrounding of overhead powerlines, and installation of new drainage connections to service the new homes on Nash Road, McGregor St, Morrie Liang Ave and Revel Ave has now been completed.
Streetscaping upgrades, including upgrading footpaths, installation of new streetlights and landscape planting within berms, are well underway and is planned for completion in July 2022. Streetscaping is the final stage of works in Stage 1 and will leave the neighbourhood looking fresh and tidy, ready for new and existing residents to enjoy.
