Located in the Māngere Development, the development of Aorere will contribute to the 10,000 new terraced and apartment homes that are being delivered to the Māngere community. These new homes are a mix of state, market and more affordable homes that are warmer, drier and healthier to live in.
Piritahi’s job is to prepare the land in Māngere to build and live on, enabling more homes to be built faster. We’re also designing and constructing new and upgraded infrastructure, parks and public spaces to create a safer, greener and more connected Māngere.
The Māngere Development is a Kāinga Ora — Urban Development project. For more information, head to the Māngere Development website.

Projects Underway

  • Trenching works have continued on Winthrop Way as part of the stormwater upgrade in the neighbourhood. Road kerbs were restored, and driveways and footpaths reinstated. The same works will progress to different parts of the street as they are completed.
  • The Wastewater upgrade in Mayflower Close has started. This is expected to be finished by the end of October.
  • The stormwater completion will be followed by the upgrade of the road at Mayflower Close.
  • Stream works in Henwood Road will start in October. This is for the upgrade of the neighbourhood stormwater outlet and involves clearing vegetation, upsizing the old pipe and landscaping the outlet for a more natural look.
