Projects Underway

  • House removals and land remediation continue as we prepare land for new warm, dry homes.  Great progress has been made with land remediation in Alamein Terrace, Hargest Terrace and Olympus Street and continues along Richardson Road.
  • There is common service trenching work in Hargest Terrace South and Alamein Terrace. This will prepare the area for overhead services going underground including water, power and communications.
  • Footpath reinstatement, streetscaping, and landscaping are underway in some areas and will continue over the coming months. This will improve the amenity of streets in the neighbourhood.
  • Upgrades to the water supply and wastewater network infrastructure are underway.
  • A new road connection between Alamein Terrace and Hargest Terrace is being constructed to prepare the transport network for Ōwairaka’s projected growth.
