Owairaka Development

The Ōwairaka neighbourhood is part of the Roskill Development, this neighbourhood will see the construction of 1000 new, warm, dry, healthier homes.

Across the wider Roskill Development, 10,000 new terraced and apartment houses will be delivered and are a mix of state, market and more affordable homes.

Projects Underway

Olympus Street – A new manhole and laterals have been installed with the road reopening mid to end of this week for Christmas. The upgrade of new utilities will be starting in early 2023.
Hargest Terrace – A new road has been installed from 17 - 54 with new line markings, three speed humps and street signs. Berms and planting of greenery are continuing and will be completed early to mid-2023.
Alamein Terrace (extension) – Berms and a new footpath has been installed, as well as streetscaping and the planting of greenery.
Alamein Terrace (old) – The upgrade of infrastructure services continues and new utilities to be starting in early 2023.
Cassino Terrace – A new road with berms is being done, with a new footpath installed. Planting of greenery and streetlights are continuing and this work will be completed early to mid-2023.
Park Edge Road – The upgrade of infrastructure services continues and new utilities are starting in early 2023.
A major success for the Ōwairaka site team was the installation of the 240-metre-long wastewater pipe which connects to properties in Hargest Terrace and Hendon Avenue. The successful operation used the slipline method and went smoothly including the use of a substitute wastewater system during the installation.
