Northcote Development New

The Northcote Development will see 1,500 new terraced and apartment homes delivered to the Northcote community over the next 5 years. These new homes will be a mix of state, market and more affordable homes that are warmer, drier and healthier to live in.

Piritahi will prepare the land in Northcote to build and live on, enabling more homes to be built faster. We’re also designing and constructing new and upgraded infrastructure and three new pocket parks, creating a safer, greener and more connected Northcote.

Projects Underway

Potter Ave and Kaka Street – Drainage, road construction, footpath reinstatement and streetscaping continue. This will be completed in approximately March 2023.
Ernie Mays Road and College Road – Watermain investigations, installation and connections starting early January 2023. This will be completed in approximately one month.
Cadness Street – Stormwater and utility upgrades continue. This will be completed around June 2023.
Tonar Street – The temporary one-way traffic management system will remain in place until February/March 2023.
Fraser Ave and Tonar Street – Footpath/kerb removal, utility installation, footpath/kerb reinstatement starting early January 2023. This will be completed in approximately six weeks.
Greenslade Reserve – Open to the public now.
Te Ara Awataha walkway – Open to the public now.‍
Cadness Loop Reserve – Open to the public now.
