Neighbourhood Design Manager

LEAD Alliance is an alliance laying the groundwork for the new homes and spaces in communities with need, leaving a legacy of improved urban development.

You will be part of the Alliance Design team reporting to the Design Operations Manager and working across the full lifecycle of the project from planning, detailed design, construction, and handover.

What you will be doing:

  • Developing and executing the neighbourhood delivery plan in conjunction with Kāinga Ora team members
  • Develop neighborhood programs to coordinate phasing and activity of neighbourhood projects.
  • Develop and manage Design budget for a neighbourhood and each project within it.
  • Working through project pressure points to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Delivering the neighbourhood reporting and outputs to ensure all stakeholders are aware of progress, obstacles, challenges and achievements.
  • Co-ordination and delivery of multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Ensure collaboration between design and construction teams.
  • Manage and oversee the change process for multiple projects.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction management or project management
  • Managing large-scale design and construction projects from $20M - $40Million
  • Previous Alliance and/or Design and Construct experience preferable
  • Managing and mitigating risk whilst ensuring prompt solutions to minimise disruption.
  • Proactively maintain and build relationships with Kāinga Ora, Auckland Council, CCO's and utility authorities
