The Oranga Development will see 1,000 new terraced and apartment homes delivered to the Oranga community over the next 8 years. These new homes will be a mix of state, market and more affordable homes that are warmer, drier and healthier to live in.
Piritahi’s job is to prepare the land in Oranga to build and live on, enabling more homes to be built faster. We’re also designing and constructing new and upgraded infrastructure, parks and public spaces to create a safer, greener and more connected Oranga.

Projects Underway

  • The pedestrian walkway between 149 Rockfield road and 47 Edmonton is now complete, and will be open by the end of August 2021.
  • Utilities upgrades continue on Waitangi Road, State Avenue, Treasury Place and Edmonton Ave and will be commencing in Nissan Place Shortly (This week). The under-grounding of ducting and pipes are complete, ready for cables to be pulled for Treasury place, State Ave (between Waitangi road and Nissan Place) and Waitangi road (on the eastern side between Oranga Ave and State Ave). It is also complete on the eastern side of Edmonton Ave, from State Ave until 18 Edmonton.
  • House removals and land remediation are underway across the neighbourhood.
