The Northcote Development will see 1,500 new terraced and apartment homes delivered to the Northcote community over the next 5 years. These new homes will be a mix of state, market and more affordable homes that are warmer, drier and healthier to live in.
Piritahi’s job is to prepare the land in Northcote to build and live on, enabling more homes to be built faster. We’re also designing and constructing new and upgraded infrastructure and three new pocket parks, creating a safer, greener and more connected Northcote.

Projects Underway

  • Watermain upgrade on Lake Road.
  • Final stages of streetscaping underway on Fraser Ave including the construction of the road and driveways.
  • Tunnel boring and the construction of a new stormwater pipe is underway on Tonar Street.
  • Roadworks and streetscaping on Tonar Street and Cadness Street.
  • Upgrades to the Te Ara Awataha.
  • Infrastructure upgrades in Greenslade Reserve are due to be complete mid-2021. The reserve is now fully closed to enable these upgrades.
  • A new road connecting Greenslade Crescent and Potter Ave will commence shortly. The public accessway connecting these roads will be permanently closed.  
  • House removals and land remediation are underway on Potter Ave, Kaka Street, Greenslade Cres & Lake Road.
