Students gain on-the-job work experience with Piritahi

While school holidays are usually a time to take a break and unwind during the busy school year, a group of students from high schools local to Piritahi's sites did just the opposite.

During their two week break, the eager students took part in the new Mahi Ora Construction Plus, a programme run by Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities in collaboration with Piritahi.

The programme is for young people looking to join the construction industry. It offers an opportunity to gain on-the-job work experience and exposure to the many parts of working on a construction site.

With the first run of the programme being such a success, we're looking forward to having more students coming on board soon to learn about the important work we are doing.
