Pt England School gives 100 old garden pavers a second life

At Piritahi, we love seeing the creative ways that things are re-used locally after we divert them away from landfill.

Local re-use is the ultimate form of sustainability and is at the heart of the Piritahi House Removal Programme.

Over the past year, we've diverted over 10,000 tonnes of material away from landfill, through recycling and re-use initiatives.

In Tāmaki, tamariki gave 100 old garden pavers a new lease on life in the Pt England School garden.
The pavers – which were taken from a property Piritahi recently cleared as part of Tāmaki Regeneration Company’s (TRC) regeneration programme – now connect vegetable gardens built through the schools’ 'Garden to Table' programme.

Have you creatively re-used or up cycled anything recently?

Piritahi is working with Tāmaki Regeneration Company and Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities preparing land and infrastructure for new homes in Pt England, Panmure and Glen Innes.
