Design Project Manager

LEAD Alliance is seeking a Project Manager (Design Engineering) with major project experience to work on New Zealand’s largest brownfield development to transform Auckland.

LEAD Alliance is an alliance laying the groundwork for the new homes and spaces in communities with need, leaving a legacy of improved urban development.

You will be part of the Design team reporting to the Neighbourhood Design Manager to ensure the design team has the guidance to achieve the design deliverables to the required programme and budgets for the assigned projects.

What you will be doing:

  • Demonstrating ownership of cost, quality and program delivery outcomes across neighborhood projects
  • Work closely with various design disciplines to ensure they deliver on key milestones
  • Managing and mitigating risk whilst ensuring prompt solutions to minimise disruption
  • Manage & coordinate design disciplines to deliver through project life cycle
  • Working through project pressure points to ensure positive outcomes
  • Develop project scope, working closely with the wider design team
  • Manage and oversee the change process for each project.
  • Report on budget cost to complete for assigned project
  • Lead and document design progress meetings

The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction management or project management
  • Managing large-scale design and construction projects from $5M - $25Million
  • Understand resource consent process and deliverables
  • Previous Alliance and/or Design and Construct experience preferable
  • Worked in a matrix structured environment displaying exceptional relationship management skills
